Ashley became a member of the kennel staff in 2002 and worked part time for 3 years while in high school. After graduation she worked on a horse farm and then at a canine day care facility as a handler and groomer for 10 years. The obligations of marriage with a set of twins became increasingly demanding and she retired from her job in 2015 and started part time work again at EAAH. She enjoys her 2 Rottweilers Sasha and Tori as well as participating in Rottweiler rescue and rehabilitation and working with horses .
Lisa is a senior member of EAAH having been here since 1992. She is a graduate of Donegal High School. She enjoys spending time with her family, flower gardening, reading and swimming. She also enjoys caring for her pets which include a Labrador Retriever, Great Dane, cat & hamster. Over the years she has volunteered with Rheems PTO, Rheems Athletic Association and Second Chance for Life dog rescue.
Jane has worked as a receptionist for more than 12 years in the veterinary field and has been employed at EAAH since 2014. She enjoys working around pets and knowing that she is part of making sure the animals get the care they need. Jane is married with 2 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 dog and 4 cats and loves spending time with her family.
Rosemarie - Veterinary Assistant
Andrea graduated from Hempfield High School in 2013 where she was the captain for both the Varsity Basketball and Softball teams. She continued her education at York College of PA as a Sports Management Major. After her freshman year, she came to the realization that her true calling was to work with and care for animals. Andrea is currently enrolled at York Technical Institute studying veterinary technology. In her spare time she enjoys attending sporting events, crafting hunting, fishing and has volunteered at the Humane League. Andrea lives with her parents and two sisters. Rounding out the family are 2 golden retrievers, Teddy and Tucker as well as 2 domestic shorthair rescues, Jax and Cuddles.
Kim has been a member of the staff since 2015. She has a BA degree from State University of NY and previous experience as a receptionist for a family practice MD. Outside of work she and her husband enjoy the company of their Rottweiler Greta, and spending time with their four children and six grandchildren. Her hobbies include horseback riding, golf, skiing and other outdoor activities.
Alyssa has been at EAAH since August 2015. She currently attends Willow Street Career and Technology Center Vet Assistant program. At her home school; Manheim Central High School she has been involved in many extracurricular activities such as: track and field, soccer, concert choir, FFA, and competes in many horse competitions through the Conestoga Pony Club. Alyssa plans to graduate LCCTC as a certified Vet Assistant and will continue to further her education to become a Veterinary Technician. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing the piano, going on trial rides, and has volunteered at the Humane League.
Jeannie worked as a Veterinary Technician for over 15 years before starting here at EAAH in October of 2008. Jeannie is a high school graduate of Palmyra High School. When asked what she likes best about her job, she said, her work environment and working with animals. Jeannie has many pets including her boxer "Loader" (pictured), who is her pride and joy. Jeannie's hobbies include Riding & showing horses, country line-dancing, and taking care of her many animals including, dogs, cats, horses, goats and rabbits
Shelly is presently a part time receptionist who started working for EAAH in January of 2005. She is married to Craig and has two sons, Ty and Jared. She has a dog named Molly, that's a Mountain Cur and a guinea pig named Poppy. She likes the interaction with clients and their pets. Her hobbies include baking, gardening, and reading.
Holly currently a part time veterinary assistant at this facility. Previously she was our head technician for 10 years before returning to the nursing field. Holly holds a Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware, and is a Registered Nurse. She worked as a cardiovascular intensive care nurse for 7 years before deciding to change directions, becoming a veterinary technician for over 12 years. Holly enjoys, running, movies, computer games, dining out and spending time with her daughter Danielle, granddaughter Eva, friends & family.
Rosemarie started with EAAH in August of 2010. A native New Yorker, with a BA, MS plus 30 credits from NYU, moved to Lancaster in 2009 after retiring from teaching. When not working at EAAH, she is a volunteer and tour guide at the Wolf Sanctuary of PA in Lititz or working at Raven Ridge Wildlife Center in Washington Borough helping to care for injured and orphaned wildlife. Her specialty is bats. She has three cats -Tipsy, Punky and Lulu as well as a mixed breed rescue dog named Delilah who enjoys spending Mondays at EAAH. Some of her hobbies include gardening, reading, cooking, baking, traveling and Zumba classes.
Janelle - Veterinary Assistant
Janelle Rohrer, a graduate of Donegal High School attended Lancaster County Career and Technology Center her senior year for Veterinary Assistant and graduated from in 2013. She started working at here EAAH the spring of 2012. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, hanging out with friends and family, and taking care of her horse, 5 dogs, and 2 cats.
Holly - Veterinary Assistant
Dr. DeLaney was born and resided in North Jersey until his late teens. Graduating from high
school in suburban Philadelphia, he then attended Gettysburg College. After obtaining a
degree in Biology, he continued his education at Pennsylvania State University where he
received a MS in Zoology. While at Penn State he became associated with members of the
Veterinary Science department and developed an interest in pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine. In 1969 Richard graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
After practicing small animal medicine for a year in Princeton, N.J., he returned to the
University of Pennsylvania as a research fellow at the School of Medicine. Over the next 11
years he conducted research in the control of respiration and taught at the Veterinary School
advancing to Assistant Professor of Medicine. During this time Dr. D. also practiced part-time
small animal medicine in suburban Philadelphia.
In 1982 Richard retired from the U of P. and became a member of the staff of Old Marple
Animal Hospital, Springfield, PA. Subsequently, in 1989, Dr. D. purchased the Elizabethtown
Area Animal Hospital and Rosa and he with the 3 kids moved to beautiful South Central PA.
Over the subsequent 20 years, the children grew up, went to college and got married, a new
hospital building was constructed, and many fine acquaintances were made through the
common bond with pets. Presently Richard and Rosa live at home with 3 dogs and enjoy
visiting with friends, kids and grandchildren. In his limited spare time, Dr. D takes pleasure in
gardening, carpentry, photography, listening to Jazz and classical music, and dining with family and friends.

Crystal, our landscape caretaker and handy-person, has been associated with EAAH in various capacities since 2003. Her landscaping talents are appreciated by both staff and clients who enjoy the gardens she has planted and cared for on the Hospital grounds. She enjoys gardening, fitness and family.
Lauren has been part of the EAAH Kennel Staff since the summer of 2013. Through her love of animals, math and science, she has been driven to pursue a career as a veterinarian after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. In addition to her furry friends at the animal hospital, she has an energetic and goofy herding breed mix named Odie. Besides her love of animals she also enjoys cross-country running and playing the violin.
Alyssa - Kennel Assistant
Carol started as a receptionist with EAAH in 2005 and holds a AAS degree in Legal Secretarial Science from Nassau Community College. She enjoys seeing all the clients' animals and hanging out with the hospital cats, Bianca, Laney and Connie. She has three cats of her own, Pepper, Moo and Simon, as well as a pet lizard. Outside work activities include family and volunteer work at Pet Pantry of Lancaster, the Meow Mission, Community Cupboard of Elizabethtown, and her church. Her hobbies include biking, gym, cooking, baking and reading.
